I had my Dyson All-Floors for abour sixteen months now and wouldn't trade it for any other vacuum cleaner. There's nothing like it for carpeted floors. The amount of dust, dirt and hair it pulls out of the carpets is astonishing - every time I use it.
It also works good on linoleum floors (without the beater brushes). The area rugs are another story, though. The suction is simply too strong to make the task of vacuuming them easy. That doesn't bother me (but it might someone else) because my area rugs are not too big and I only buy the washable kind of rugs anyway. So I shake them out and wash often, and use Dyson on bare floors and carpets.
Other pros: great phone customer service, long cord, easy-to-empty dirt cannister, long expandable hose w/attachments, handy placement of attachments, lifetime air filters, bagless filter saves money, time and environment.
Price: If you prefer things really clean, Dyson is worth every penny. If you're happy with carpets that look vacuumed, go for something cheaper.

Bodum Pavina Double Wall Thermal Glass Collection
These are my favorite glasses of all times!
They look very stylish no matter what kind of beverage you pour in.
Double wall thermal glasses are light and considering the thickness of the glass (borosilicate glass looks thin and fragile) - quite durable.
Dishwasher safe, always shiny and attractive but a bit tricky to wash them by hand. For handwashing I lay them on the side on a dry cloth so they can't slip out of my hand.
Bodum double-walled glasses keep hot beverages hot (without burning your fingers) and cold drinks cold, no dripping condensation.
If you're ready to step up a level in quality of your beverage-consummation, these are for you. If you don't mind leaching plastic, stay with plastic.
BTW, borosilicate glass that bodum glasses are made of is highly resistant to extreme temperature changes as well as acids and is therefore used in labs. Every glass is man-made, mouth-blown. If that's not something to appreciate...

Bodum New Kenya 34-Ounce Tea Press
Looking for an everyday tea pot (since tea is my favorite drink, specially in winter time) I came across Bodum products. Glass is probably my favorite material so Bodum products, which are also nicely shaped (another important factor to me) caught my attention right away.
I've been using this tea press for a few weeks now and I have to say I've been very happy with this purchase. Bodum New Kenya Tea Press is easy to use and simple to clean. Comes out of the dishwasher sparkling clean and ready to serve again.
The "press function" works great and it's very useful especially if you don't like your tea to become too strong.
34 ounces is just the right size for a serious tea drinker and enough tea for two tea-lovers.
What I appreciate most about this tea pot is the way tea flows smoothly from the spout. No dripping, no spilling, no mess! If that's not something to love...
At the time of making my purchase I checked all the different sites online and found Amazon to be the cheapest. Besides, it's reliable, packs the merchandise well and on top of everything, there's always a free shipping option.
